Dosage/Application Makatussin Comp
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 15-20 drops 3-4 times daily (up to a maximum of 30 drops at a time).
The dosing interval between two doses should not be less than 4 hours.
The drops are best taken undiluted with a spoon, but they can also be taken with a little water or tea. Makatussin cough drops can be taken regardless of meals.
Hold the bottle or dropper tube vertically when counting drops.

Contraindication
Respiratory insufficiency, acute asthma, excessive bronchial secretion, fructose intolerance, diverticulitis, after visceral surgery; obstruction of the cardia, pylorus or duodenum; MAO inhibitor therapy, opioid dependence, ultra-rapid CYP2D6 metabolisers. Pregnancy, breastfeeding. <12 years.
