Tuzistra XR is a prescription extended-release oral suspension used for the temporary relief of cough and upper respiratory symptoms associated with allergies or the common cold in adults. It contains two active ingredients:

How Tuzistra XR Is Used
Recommended Adult Dose (18 Years and Older)
- 10 mL by mouth every 12 hours as needed
- Maximum dose: 20 mL in 24 hours (2 doses per day)
Administration Instructions
- Take by mouth only.
- Can be taken with or without food.
- Use an accurate measuring device (oral syringe or dosing cup).
- Do not use a household teaspoon.
- Do not take more frequently than every 12 hours.
- Do not increase the dose without medical advice.
Storage Instructions
Store Tuzistra XR:
- At 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F).
- Short-term temperature excursions between 15°C and 30°C (59°F to 86°F) are permitted.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed in a light-resistant container.
- Store out of the reach of children.
- Shake well before each use.
